Deposits and payments:
The verbal/email booking will be held for 7 days. The client can pay their deposit by cheque, cash or paypal. The balance of the party must be paid on the day in cash. Please do not ask us to accept cheques on the day as we will have to refuse.
Set Up
The artist will arrive 15 minutes prior to the party starting to set up and will leave at the end of the party. Please do not expect the artist to stay extra time unless mutually agreed before the party starts. The overtime rate is £15 per half hour or part of.
Occasionally, the artist may have another booking elsewhere and will have to finish strictly at the specified time, and we ask for your understanding in this situation
It is advised that a maximum of 30 children can be painted within a 2 hour party booking. If more children are expected, please advise the artist prior to the party, as simplified face or arm designs can be offered instead.
If temporary glitter tattoos are booked, for parties of more than 15 children - each child will have a choice of face paint or glitter tattoos. For parties of 15 or less - each child will be able to have a face paint and glitter tattoo (applies to 2 hour party bookings).
Please ensure that there is parking available as close to the entrance of the building as possible, since the artist will have to carry heavy equipment in. Failure to do so may result in the artist not being set up on time. If the event/party is being held outdoors, please ensure the artist has cover.
Face Painting
Face paints are recommended for use on children aged three and over - their skin is too sensitive and the immune system still developing - there is also a risk of prompting future allergies. We will not paint full faces on children under three, but a small picture on the hand or leg may done on children aged between two and three, at the parents own risk. We will not paint children less than two years of age under ANY circumstances. Children will only be painted at the discretion of the face painter - if they are too wriggly or do not want their faces painted, the face painter can refuse to paint them.
The client is responsible for informing parents of attending children that there will be a face painter/temporary glitter tattoo artist at the event, and will advise the artist if there are any children that cannot participate.
We are UNABLE to paint anyone who appears to be suffering from conjunctivitis, cold sores, infectious skin complaints, has open cuts or sores, or who appears to be unwell.
We are UNABLE to paint anything which is offensive or illegal, or will we paint anyone who is intoxicated, violent or abusive. Parents must supervise their children at all times.
Cancellation Fees:
14 days or more notice: Deposit will be retained
7 days to 13 days notice: 50% due
No notice - 6 days notice: 100% due
It may be possible to alter date to a new date if within 6 weeks of original booking.
